Eastern Sound Opens 2024 Summer Season at Hampton Beach
The New Hampshire based, Eastern Sound Orchestra will open their 2024 Music Season at the Sea Shell Stage, Hampton Beach, NH. This band is celebrating 48 years of entertaining folks from Montreal to Miami. The 5-piece band has been known for their unique Eastern flair, featuring 2 fiddles, 1 accordion, keyboard, bass, drums, trumpet, clarinet and saxophone.
These recording artists show their talent by playing many different instruments. The members include: John Sobczak, Leader, drummer and vocal, Richard Lapadula, trumpet, Tony Malionek, music director, accordion, piano, trumpet and vocal, Peter Sylvester, bass and fiddle and Mike Petrishen, clarinet, sax, flute, fiddle and vocal. Over the years The Eastern Sound have been known for their annual appearances at the Seashell Stage at Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. Among the hundreds of private functions and dances, they have performed at many festivals such as; The Lowell Folk Festival, Hunter Mountain in New York, Dick Pillar’s “Polkabration” in Connecticut, which is the longest running polka festival in the country and many others throughout New England, Pennsylvania, New York and Florida. Leader, John Sobczak is a member of the National Council of Traditional Arts and a member of The Recording Academy. The band has been featured on ABC TV and other television specials for public broadcasting. They have been voted #1 Polka Band in the state of NH and continue to entertain their many fans.
